Black Owned Business Spotlight

I love promoting some of my favorite local community Black owned businesses. I hope you get an opportunity to enjoy them as well. This episode promotes my favorite local bookstore called Kindred Stories in Third Ward Houston, Texas. Outside of books Kindred Stories provides a variety of wellness and metaphysical products. After you finish shopping you can go across the street to The Rado Market for a healthy bite to eat . Many of the black owned businesses within Third Ward including Kindred Stories and The Rado Market provide ‘cross-promotion’ of other black owned products in-store.

World Kindness Day

Studies show that people have up to 60,000 thoughts per day with a significant portion being negative. Negative thoughts can significantly impact both mental and physical health, leading to increased stress, anxiety, depression, and even physical health issues. They can also hinder personal growth, relationships, and overall well-being. 

Being kind promotes a healthy mental state for you and your environment. Kindness evokes positive emotions and thoughts which impact your body. This event promoted “Kindness within our Community and Kindness to Ourselves” on World Kindness Day.

Wellness Amore events help to promote local small businesses within the community by offering a free space for small business to promote and sell their products.

Supporting Black Owned Businesses

With over 40 million Black Americans within the United States it is crucial to support Black owned businesses and communities in order to provide better health and a better eco system for all Americans.

Wellness Amore hosted Back2Black, a community wellness event, that promoted small local businesses giving them a space to set up for free and promote their company and brand.

This event not only supported local businesses providing them with free space to promote their product but we also provided educational information on environmental wellness within the Black community. Most importantly we had a great time eating healthy local foods, listening to young local artist and enjoy custom spirits.

Promoting Good Vibes & Community

Having a sense of community can provide you with the feeling of belonging, safety and support which all impact your mental health. Wellness Amore host events that do just that featuring local vendors and services that support your wellness and lifestyle.

Our events not only help the attendees but also help support the small businesses with free booth space to promote and sell their products. By the community coming to our events they walk out feeling empowered, knowing they have helped a small business while getting the support they need from the seller and making new friends in the process.

This event focused on how to create mindfulness and featured counseling services, massage therapist, scent therapy, sound baths, journal activities and more.

Company Wellness Fair

I have hosted professional wellness fairs for mid - large sized companies for 20+ years. From health and wellness fairs, to carnivals to wine tasting fundraisers; I’ve succeeded in bringing people together for a cause.

This short snippet features a Wellness event and national tour that I coordinated for Nordstrom Retail Store. This event included health vendors to further educate employees about their benefits and services that impact and support their overall health and wellbeing. We also had onsite dental cleaning services, raffle prizes, activities and more.
